So, it has been a while since Tata introduced the Curvv to the Indian car market. We decided to take our time reviewing the car since any new product will surely have many issues, especially in the first few batches. As Tata has already fixed the initial batches of the Tata Curvv, it is high time we released our verdict on the car.
Let’s begin.
Starting with the fact that this car marks many firsts for Tata Motors!
For instance, the Curvv is the first car that comes from the OEM with a brand-new Turbocharged Gasoline Direct Injection Engine.
There is a brand new automatic transmission offered by Tata for this car that is available in the diesel iteration of the Tata Curvv.
Then there is the fact that this is Tata Motor’s first attempt at making a ‘more-on-the-premium-side’ and feature-rich midsize (faux) SUV.
More information about the car is available in the sections below.
A simple vehicle inspection of the cars currently sold by Tata Motors here in India will reveal that Curvv doesn’t share its platform with any other Tata cars. You see the Curvv is made using a brand new modular platform known as ATLAS. As per the opinion of spokespersons associated with Tata Motors, Curvv’s platform is capable of handling all-wheel-drive as well as 4x4 drivetrains. But Tata decided not to offer an AWD or 4x4 iterations of the Curvv due to the segment’s low demand among Indian car buyers.
Among the top-rated cars currently available in India, the Tata Curvv stands out due to its unique design. Some say that this is the only Indian car currently available to the masses that looks ‘concept car-like’. We are intentionally holding off on the intricate details about the car since we want to intrigue you with our words but don’t want to spoil the hype so that you do not even take a test ride of the car or look at it in person. If you want to perceive how the Tata Curvv looks in real-world conditions, test drive one today!
The Curvv feels like no other Tata car. The interior of the Curvv feels ‘futuristic’ but not at all tacky or in-your-face cyberpunk-ish!
The leatherette upholstery enhances the premium feel of the car by several folds. Then there are tons of creature comfort features as well as important features. We recommend that you check out the Accomplished+ A variant of the Tata Curvv – you’d surely like it.

The suspension setup of the car is tuned in a manner that makes the Curvv take on all kinds of undulations the Indian roads can throw underneath the Tata Curvv’s wheels with style. You will ride in comfort even in the worst patches of city roads or highways in the Tata Curvv.
In terms of handling, the one word that came to our mind while we were test-riding the Curvv was ‘mature’. Whether you are attacking a straight patch of road or a ‘curve’ at high speeds, the car will remain planted on the tarmac and will offer you the confidence to push the car more!
Here’s the water cooler lowdown – Tata has made sure that people who will be interested in the Tata Curvv will be spoilt for choices. You see the car is offered by the OEM in 34 trims! Then there is the pricing – there is a Curvv for everyone out there, irrespective of their budget, driving styles, or preferences! The car looks cool, offers a lot of cargo and in-cabin space and it is a lot of car for the money one will be spending to buy it. In a nutshell, the car is a ‘good buy’. At least that is what we here at AutoHealth thought of after test-driving the Tata Curvv.
