Mahindra Bolero Neo Pros

The new or used car details of a Bolero Neo consists of the following pros

  • This is a 5-seater rear-wheel-driven SUV that can seat 7 people on paper but is offered at the price of a compact sedan or faux SUV (front-wheel-driven jacked-up hatchbacks with an excessive garnishing of black plastic trims all around the vehicle) and premium hatchbacks!
  • The car has a robust construction. Additionally, its ladder-frame chassis and body-on-frame construction can sustain intentional or unintentional abuse for years.
  • The cabin is quite roomy especially the first and second rows feel very airy.
  • The 1493 CC diesel engine offers adequate low RPM torque.
  • The car’s front seats offer a commanding position. The seats are comfortable, properly bolstered, and come with dedicated armrests.
  • The boot space is adequate with the third-row jump seats folded. If more space is needed, the second-row seat can be folded down.

Mahindra Bolero Neo Cons

Unlike other Mahindra new and used cars, the Bolero Neo does offer very few creature comforts but the car fares high in terms of value for the money one will be spending to buy it. However, there are quite a few downsides that one cannot simply ignore.

  • For instance, the car is powered by a 3-cylinder diesel engine. Sure the engine is turbocharged but frankly, the engine feels out of breath, especially at high speeds. It means that on the highways, the overall performance of the car will be mediocre at best.
  • The overall ride quality of the Bolero Neo will be cushy at low speeds but at high speeds, the ride quality tends to be on the harsher end with a dash of body roll.
  • This is an SUV hence; it is natural for the steering wheel to feel heavy. However, given the compact dimensions of the car, the steering feels a bit too heavy!

Auto experts at AutoHealth India think that whether you are looking for used cars in Kolkata or in any other city for that matter, remember that the Mahindra Bolero Neo is not perfect but at the same time, it is also, not a waste of money!

The pros of the vehicle outweigh its cons. If someone can look at the car from a different angle, they would understand that the Bolero Neo truly lives up to the reputation of the original Bolero as well as the TUV 300 (which is still offered by Mahindra just like the Scorpio Classic).
